The complementary therapy service is an integral part of the overall oncology healthcare service and offers a wide range of support to patients during their treatment at the clinic.

Our professional team of highly motivated and experienced therapists can help patients with emotional, physical and stress related aspects of cancer treatments. Patients can access treatments that will assist them in their ability to relax in an effort to enhance their well-being, both in our specially designed and equipped therapy rooms, in the chemotherapy suite and also as "in patients" at Parkside Hospital.

Patients who are being treated with either chemotherapy or radiotherapy are entitled to four one hour treatments, and if the patient is to undergo chemotherapy as well as radiotherapy, they are entitled to six hours of complementary treatments at no charge. These can be broken down into half hour appointments if the patient feels this will fit better with their treatment plan.

All our therapists are experienced in the care of patients with cancer and can offer useful support in helping patients during the course of their treatment. Patients are encouraged to continue with complementary therapy treatments at the clinic if they so wish during the rest of their treatment or when they finish their cancer treatment for a reasonable charge.

The complementary therapy treatments available at the clinic include aromatherapy massage, reflexology, Indian head massage and Reiki.
