The treatment of breast cancer is undertaken by a large multi-disciplinary team of experts (MDT) at both the Clinic and the Hospital to ensure each and every patient receives specialist tailor-made care. Our breast oncologists and breast surgeons work closely in MDTs with Consultant Radiologists, who are qualified mammographers and pathologists specialising in breast disease. All necessary imaging, for example MRI is available on-site at Parkside.

Our breast care nurse service is available to all patients undergoing breast cancer treatment and are there to support patients through every aspect of their treatment from start to finish. In addition, a senior oncology nurse is contactable 24 hours a day via her pager, for patients who need advice and support outside 'normal' hours. We understand that undergoing chemotherapy (drug treatment) can be a difficult experience and we aim to make the process as calm and as comfortable as possible in our specially built day-care room.

Parkside Hospital is a BUPA accredited Centre of Excellence and our on-site information centre runs informal monthly lectures on relevant topics such as diet, excercise and the control of fatigue. Patients are also invited to joing our 'Look Good, Feel Better' sessions which are regularly held on-site. Patient support groups are held on a regular basis run by our breast care nurse and Consultant Psychologist.

A number of Consultant Breast Oncologists consult at the Clinic.  Contact information is available by clicking on the 'Find a Specialist' section on the left.
